* Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning equipment, apparatus and components using test equipment and the requisite tools to identify defects, hazards and breakdown causes and implement the relevant corrective actions such as repairs or request replacements.
* Implement the planned maintenance schedule by driving the team to adhere to the agreed timelines and established targets there by contributing towards the efficiency and production of the operation of the mine.
* Conduct root cause analysis on the various types of Earthmoving equipment and machinery to determine breakdown causes or malfunctioning equipment and recommend and implement repairs or replacements as needed.
* Complete job cards and daily reports based on the various incidents (planned or unplanned), daily to keep the business and relevant supervisor/s informed of the progress of repairs and replacements of machinery, equipment, and its parts to inform appropriate planning.
* Continuously develop and enhance the skillset based on the requirements of the mine and its associated Earthmoving equipment by continuously upskilling oneself on the equipment and typical issues faced to ensure the turnaround time on repairs and services is maintained and improved.
