**Your Role at impact.com:**
We’re a team in a fast\-growing SaaS scale\-up on a mission to make self\-service Products, Plans, Subscriptions, and Billing seamless \- for clients as well as our sales and account management departments. This is the heart of our business: enabling customers to purchase and upgrade plans independently, while ensuring billing is fully automated, accurate, and scalable.

This is a high\-impact role. The systems you design and build will directly power our revenue growth, unlock new business models, and shape the backbone of how we operate.

This is not a “business as usual” engineering role. We’re delivering functionality that changes the core of the business, while replacing a legacy monolith with a modern modular monolith \- or individual services where it makes sense. While doing this, we strive towards applying best\-of\-breed technologies and leading\-edge methodologies.

We’re looking for someone who wants to challenge the status quo. Someone who has a strong interest in the latest technologies and engineering practices, and thrives in an environment where curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement are part of daily life.

**What You'll Do:**
* Take ownership of large, complex problems and design simple, elegant solutions.
* Work with stakeholders across product management, sales, and operations to deeply understand business needs — then deliver technology that meets them.
* Shape our architectural journey: from legacy monolith to modular monolith and event\-driven systems, always with pragmatism and best practice.
* Champion domain\-driven design (strategic \& tactical), hexagonal architecture, test\-driven development, and clean code.
* Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, helping the team level up.
* Continuously improve how we work, experimenting with new ideas and raising the bar.

**What You Bring:**
* BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* 7\+ years' experience in software development
* Deep foundations in computer science and software engineering (algorithms and data structures, distributed computing, large system design, agile approaches etc.).
* Strong grasp of domain\-driven design (strategic \& tactical).
* Experience with hexagonal / ports\-and\-adapters architecture.
* Solid experience with object\-oriented and functional programming.
* Passion for simple, clean and readable code.
* Understanding of, and appreciation for, test\-driven development.
* Experience designing or working with event\-driven architectures.
* A solid understanding of agile and iterative development approaches.
* Grasp of team organisation and dynamics (Conway’s Law, Team Topologies etc.).
* Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems clearly.
* A natural mentor who enjoys helping others grow.
* A true team player — you enjoy close collaboration, value collective code ownership, and believe the best solutions come from working openly with colleagues across disciplines.
* Above all: someone who actively seeks out better ways of building, delivering, and operating software, and isn’t satisfied with “the way things have always been done.”

**Our stack:**
* Backend: Java / Spring
* Persistence: MySQL
* Frontend: Vue.js (though deep frontend expertise is not required)
* Architecture: Modular Monolith (evolving from legacy monolith), Hexagonal Architecture, Domain\-Driven Design, Event\-Driven Systems

**Our methodologies:**
 We strive for
 **continuous improvement**
 and use proven engineering practices:

* Domain\-Driven Design (strategic \& tactical)
* Trunk\-Based Development \& Continuous Integration
* Continuous Delivery and frequent production deployments
* Agile development
* Test\-Driven Development – when and where it makes sense
* Clean code and knowledge sharing

**Benefits and Perks:**
At impact.com, we believe that when you’re happy and fulfilled, you do your best work. That’s why we’ve built a benefits package that supports your well\-being, growth, and work\-life balance.

* Flexible Working: Our Responsible PTO policy means you can take the time off you need to rest and recharge. We're committed to a positive work\-life balance and provide a flexible environment that allows you to be happy and fulfilled in both your career and your personal life.
* Health and Wellness: Your well\-being is a priority. Our mental health and wellness benefit includes up to 12 fully covered therapy/coaching sessions per year, with additional dependent coverage. We also offer a monthly gym reimbursement policy to support your physical health.
* A Stake in Our Growth: We offer Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) as part of our total compensation, giving you a stake in the company's growth with a 3\-year vesting schedule, pending Board approval.
* Investing in Your Growth: We’re committed to your continuous learning. Take advantage of our free Coursera subscription and our PXA courses.
* Parental Support: We offer a generous parental leave policy, 26 weeks of fully paid leave for the primary caregiver and 13 weeks fully paid leave for the secondary caregiver.
* Technology Financial Support: We provide a technology stipend to help you set up your home office and a monthly allowance to cover your internet expenses

***impact.com is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.***
*All employees and applicants for employment shall be given fair treatment and equal employment opportunity regardless of their race, ethnicity or ancestry, color or caste, religion or belief, age, sex (including gender identity, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy/maternity), national origin, weight, neurodivergence, disability, marital and civil partnership status, caregiving status, veteran status, genetic information, political affiliation, or other prohibited non\-merit factors.*

Senior Software Engineer

**About Block Labs**
Block Labs is a premier technology studio operating at the bleeding edge of
 **Web3, Artificial Intelligence, and iGaming**
. We don't just ship features; we engineer high\-scale, production\-grade platforms that power the next generation of digital products.

We are a collective of senior engineers, product strategists, and builders who refuse to compromise on architecture. Whether we are designing autonomous multi\-agent AI systems, building decentralized financial infrastructure, or architecting high\-frequency iGaming platforms, our standard is excellence.

We move fast, but we build for the long term. If you are looking to work alongside a team that values deep technical expertise, thoughtful system design, and product ownership, Block Labs is where you belong.

**The role**
We build distributed, transactional backend platforms across crypto, fintech, and real money gaming. High volume, multi tenant, real time. Balances, payments, and player facing decisions depend on them, so correctness is not negotiable and mistakes are visible immediately. The work spans several products and follows business priorities, so what you own will change over time. You will build and own distributed, transactional backend services in Go, as an individual contributor.

Ownership has a specific meaning here. You receive an outcome and its constraints, not a decomposed backlog. You identify the decisions nobody has made and gather the context to make them. You define scope and sequencing. You make the architectural and implementation decisions. You implement the system rather than delegating it. Others will contribute to it, and you own the conditions that let them do so without degrading it. You ship it, and you remain responsible for how it behaves in production.

Agents are the normal means of production here, not an optional aid. That does not reduce the need for engineering judgement, testing, or operational ownership. It increases how much of each one engineer carries.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, and QA throughout, and you will need to be good at it, because nobody will be coordinating it on your behalf.

**What You Will Do**
* Convert business outcomes and constraints into scoped, sequenced, shippable work.
* Design and implement distributed Go services handling high volume transactional workloads, integrating with payments, providers, and internal platforms.
* Make the correctness guarantees explicit and hold them. Balances and transactional behaviour have no margin for approximation.
* Run the agentic system that produces the work: context, decomposition, execution,

 verification.

* Set the harness and guardrails others work inside: context, tests, and automated checks that let people contribute to your system without it degrading into debt you inherit.
* Operate what you ship. Know its failure modes, watch it, and fix it.

**What We Are Looking For**
* Deep proficiency in Go on high volume, transactional systems. Years matter less than what you have personally taken to production.
* Strong judgement on multi tenancy, event driven architecture, queues, and the failure modes each brings. Cloud native, and serious about reliability, observability, and security.
* A repeatable agentic engineering system you built deliberately. It holds context, decomposes ambiguous work, verifies behaviour rather than diffs, and keeps unverified code out of

production. The system matters, not the tools.

* Evidence of carrying the whole chain yourself, from incomplete objective to a system you

shipped and then owned in production. Having worked on every phase is not the same as

 having carried one.

* Judgement under ambiguity. There is rarely a finished specification, but there are objectives, constraints, and people who know things. Make the reversible calls yourself and escalate the rest.

**Nice to have**
* Background in fintech, real money gaming, or other high traffic consumer products where

 money is at stake.

* Experience with rules engines, real time scoring, or decisioning systems.
* Prior experience designing APIs for multi tenant or white label products.

**What This Role Is Not**
* Not a management or tech lead role. There is no team reporting to you and no plan to create one.
* Not an architecture or advisory role. You will not set direction for others to implement.
* Not a squad role. There is no prioritised backlog and no one assigning you work.
* Not a role where you own one layer of somebody else’s implementation, or where someone else owns verification and production readiness on your behalf.
* Not a role where agents are an optional productivity aid you reach for occasionally.

If what you want is a well defined squad, finished requirements, and shared implementation, this is a role to skip. That is a legitimate way to work and many strong engineers prefer it. It is not this one.

**What kind of culture can I expect?**
Mature, mission\-driven, and low\-ego. We value clarity over noise, outcomes over theatrics, and pace without chaos. If you’re one of the smartest minds in your craft and want to build with other experts, you’ll feel at home here.

DATA VISUALISATION DEVELOPER

**Location:**
 100% Remote (Global)

**Engagement Type:**
 Full\-Time Independent Contractor

**🚀
**The Vision: Building the Operating System for Product Creation****
Since 2013, THE/STUDIO has been building the definitive operating system for product creation. We are combining modern SaaS technology with custom manufacturing to make producing physical goods as seamless, fast, and scalable as launching software.

 We operate two core platforms:
 **Customize Now**
(our best\-in\-class, on\-demand manufacturing platform) and
 **Source Anything**
(our new SaaS product that enables customers to seamlessly work with global factories beyond our own network).

We are a profitable, previously Silicon Valley\-backed, fully remote company, and we are not just looking to improve manufacturing, we are looking for a visionary operator to help us truly revolutionize the global supply chain.

**💻
 **The Role****
We're not looking for a traditional data analyst. We don't need someone to sit between our systems and the business interpreting what the numbers mean. We need a builder who can take a stated requirement ("we need this tracked," "alert us when this breaks") and ship it: a dashboard, an automated pipeline, or a real\-time alert.

A significant part of this role is exposing what’s already happening across our platforms: tracking when something enters a process, when it exits, and pinpointing where it gets stuck. This is closer to an automation and systems engineering role than classic business intelligence. You will work alongside our core engineering team and our Automation Engineer to connect, clean, and automate our entire data ecosystem.

We would rather hire someone scrappy and technical who figures things out (researches, builds, breaks things, and fixes them) than someone with a polished analytics background who needs well\-defined problems handed to them.

****The Big Vision****
You will own data across the entire organization. We are actively moving away from static dashboards and toward an AI\-powered data engine where team members can type in natural\-language queries, and the engine automatically fetches, processes, and analyzes the data in real time.

Ultimately, you will build the central data heart of THE/STUDIO—a system where automated, data\-driven decisions execute seamlessly across our operations.

**🎯
 **What You’ll Do****
* Architect the AI Data Engine: Build toward our long\-term vision of an AI\-driven, natural\-language query interface and contribute to automating operational decision\-making across the business.
* Build Automated Pipelines \& Dashboards: Design self\-sustaining systems (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio or equivalent BI tools) where metrics populate automatically with zero manual pulling.
* Ship End\-to\-End Solutions Independently: Take raw requirements from managers and build working systems without needing a formal spec or data translator.
* Deploy Real\-Time Alerting: Build triggers that instantly flag process breakdowns or deviations, moving from retrospective reporting to proactive mitigation.
* Expose Process Timestamps: Surface stage\-by\-stage system events (entry/exit timestamps) across our core platforms to identify and fix operational bottlenecks.
* Engineer Workflow Automations: Build and maintain automated workflows (e.g., via n8n) linking our raw data sources directly to reporting and alerting tools.
* Solve Root\-Cause Data Issues: Fix data quality and integrity issues directly at the source.
* Leverage AI as a Default: Use modern AI tools as a core build accelerant in your day\-to\-day workflow.
* Document for Enablement: Create clear, lightweight documentation so non\-technical managers can use and navigate tools independently.

****Requirements:****
* A Builder \& Engineer Mindset: You thrive when handed an ambiguous problem, navigating it through research, experimentation, and execution.
* Technical Foundation: Hands\-on fluency with SQL and cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery or equivalent). Note: This is a foundational baseline, not the entire job.
* Tooling Proficiency: Deep experience with BI dashboarding (e.g., Looker Studio) and workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Make, or custom scripts).
* End\-to\-End Ownership: Proven track record of building and deploying functional tools from scratch, not just querying existing databases.
* AI\-First Workflows: Heavy daily reliance on AI tools to accelerate development, write code, and build system prototypes.
* Direct Stakeholder Communication: Comfortable talking directly to business leads to extract requirements without needing formal spec processes.

**💡
**The Profile We’re Looking For (Our Core Pillars)****
Our Founder/CEO defines our top performers by three distinct traits. If this describes how you operate, you will thrive here:

* Raw Intelligence \& Problem\-Solving: High processing power, business acumen, and logical reasoning. You can think on your feet, connect complex ideas, and break down ambiguous problems quickly.
* "Give a Shit" Energy (Extreme Ownership): You take 100% accountability for your domain and outcomes. You don't make excuses or blame external factors. You look inward, find solutions, and push across the finish line.
* Rapid Adaptation \& Radical Candor: You embrace blunt, constructive feedback and pivot instantly without ego. You excel in a fast\-moving environment where you need to act with urgency without waiting for hand\-holding.

**💰
 **Compensation \& Terms****
* Flexible \& Competitive: We offer competitive, outcome\-driven compensation packages tailored to the candidate's level of impact.
* Engagement Type: Full\-time, exclusive independent contractor role.

**🔎
 **Our Hiring Process****
* Submit Application: IMPORTANT! Please submit your resume/CV in English
* Initial Screen: Brief intro chat to evaluate mutual fit, communications, and expectations.
* Hiring Manager Interview: Deep dive into your hard skills, past track record, and problem\-solving approach.
* Assessment / Case Study: (If applicable for the role) Practical demonstration of your capabilities.
* Final Executive Interview: Conversation with key team members.
* Reference Checks: Verification of past performance with former leaders and CEOs.

Note that every role is different, so the process may vary depending on the requirements of the role. Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide feedback to all applications.

*THE/STUDIO is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive, high\-performance culture free from discrimination.*
