External Sales Representative – Rigging Industry

We are looking for a motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented External Sales Representative to join our growing rigging services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and growing sales within the lifting, rigging, engineering, construction, mining, logistics, and industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. This role requires regular travel to visit customers, conduct site visits, prepare quotations, and promote the company's rigging solutions and services.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in external sales, preferably within the rigging, lifting, engineering, construction, industrial, or related sectors.
• Valid South African driver's licence (essential).
• Own reliable transport will be advantageous.
• Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management is advantageous; extensive proven experience will also be considered.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and customer relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.
• Conduct customer visits and site inspections.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Promote the company's rigging services and solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with customers.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
