This role is suited to a compassionate and skilled nursing professional who is passionate about delivering evidence-based care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. As a key member of the Trauma Unit, you will provide and supervise quality nursing care, ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, safety and operational excellence. What You'll Do Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within the Trauma Unit. Supervise and coordinate nursing care in accordance with SANC regulations and healthcare legislation. Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans. Monitor and evaluate patient progress while ensuring optimal clinical outcomes. Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Promote patient safety and infection prevention best practices. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives. Assist with stock management, case management and efficient resource utilisation. Coach and mentor junior nursing staff. Assist with staff development and on-the-job training. Contribute to maintaining a safe, ethical and patient-focused clinical environment. Support initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and service excellence. What You'll Bring General Nursing Degree or Diploma. Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Previous experience working within a Trauma Department. Strong clinical knowledge and technical nursing skills. Sound understanding of professional nursing practice and healthcare legislation. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability. Computer literacy will be advantageous. Understanding of the private healthcare sector will be beneficial.
