Technician

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Our company, CSESA (Pty) Ltd seeks to employ a goal driven, hard-working and self-motivated qualified engineering technician/artisan who is interested in a career in the fruit and agricultural sector. CSESA is a leading company in the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of equipment for the fresh fruit packing industry, mainly citrus, tomatoes, avocados, and mango, but not limited thereto.

This full-time position will operate in the Wellington area which requires travel away from home for extended periods. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, maintenance and providing service and support on fruit sorting equipment in fruit packing houses.

Required qualification and experience:

- A recognized Degree/Diploma or Trade Certificate in mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant work

experience.

- Above average computer literacy in Microsoft Office

- At least 3 years technical fault finding and problem solving on mechanical/electrical equipment

Key requirements:

- Knowledge of technical equipment and tools

- Knowledge of fault-finding procedures and use of multi meter

- Good communication skills

- Ability to travel extensively in area of operation away from home

- Ability to liaise with farming clients

- Attention to detail, ability to keep administrative records

- Ability to converse in English/Afrikaans fluently

Remuneration:

- The company offers a negotiable market related salary with a travel allowance based on experience and skills

coupled with normal statutory benefits.
