Role Purpose

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a precision engineering environment and must have a strong understanding of dimensional inspection and engineering measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Inspecting CNC\-milled and CNC\-turned components against issued engineering drawings.
* Reading and accurately interpreting **technical engineering drawings**.
* Checking dimensions, tolerances and other specified requirements.
* Using appropriate **precision measuring equipment** to verify manufactured components.
* Identifying and reporting dimensional or manufacturing non\-conformances.
* Recording inspection results and maintaining appropriate quality documentation.
* Communicating quality issues with machinists, production personnel and management.

Requirements

**Essential:**

* **2–5 years' relevant Quality Control / Quality Inspection experience**, preferably within a machining, precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong ability to **read and interpret technical engineering drawings**.
* Good understanding of **dimensions, tolerances and engineering specifications**.
* Practical experience using relevant precision measuring equipment.
* Ability to inspect machined components accurately and independently.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good problem\-solving ability.
* Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly with production personnel.
* Ability to work independently and take responsibility for inspection results.

Experience with equipment such as **vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges and similar precision measuring equipment** will be advantageous.

**Role Outline**
 To plan, coordinate, and manage the day\-to\-day operational activities of the team, ensuring effective communication, leadership, and development of staff. To oversee the execution of warehouse operations through proper resource planning, scheduling, and control of employees and supervisors. To optimize resources to drive operational efficiency and ensure customer service standards are consistently met. To ensure all contractual KPIs are achieved and maintained in line with SLA requirements, while working closely with management to monitor performance and allocate work effectively across operational areas.
   

  

**Key Tasks/ Accountabilities**
* Managing the operation Inbound, and administrative teams
* Meet and exceed operational service levels and manage the cost of Labour
* Drive and develop team culture
* Delivery of Key Performance Indicators
* Quality Control
* Compliance with statutory and Company Policies and Procedures
* Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
* Active participation in stock counts i.e. Planning, Preparation and Physical counting of stock
* Ensure daily and weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished
* Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams
* Delivery of safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for Team Members
* Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization
* HR Issues \- Managing Industrial Relations
* Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization
* Translate, analyze and deliver customer needs through effective operations
* Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams
* IR Skills


**Functional Experience**
* 3 years of similar experience/ environment
* SAP Knowledge and Experience


**Education / Qualification / Certification Requirements**
* Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
* Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional qualifications
