 The role plays an important part in ensuring the reliable operation of our fibre network and supporting infrastructure while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service delivery.
   

  

**Responsibilities:**
* Install, maintain, test, fault\-find, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
* Attend to electrical faults, outages, and maintenance work within agreed SLA timelines.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and quality inspections at POPs, aggregation sites, office parks, and other facilities.
* Inspect contractor installations and verify that work meets company standards and quality requirements.

**Qualification Requirements:**
* Matric
* Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field; or
* Trade Test qualification as an Electrician.
* Certified Fibre Optic Technician (CFOT) certification will be an advantage.


**Work Experience:**
* 3–5 years' relevant experience in electrical systems and network infrastructure.
* Experience in fibre optic installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance.
* Practical experience with electrical installations, fault\-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
* Experience working with backup power systems, generators, batteries, rectifiers, and related telecommunications infrastructure will be advantageous.
