**Purpose of the Job:**  

  

To provide leadership and direction of all governance, risk and compliance activities across the ICT Division. The person appointed to this position will report to the Chief Digital Officer.  

  

**Key Performance Areas:**  

  

* Develop and implement the ICT governance framework, risk and compliance strategy and roadmap in line with enterprise strategic objectives, corporate governance, business continuity management and ICT disaster recovery.

* Identify, assess and monitor both strategic and operational risks related to ICT.
* Ensure governance programs are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies to minimize or eliminate risk and audit findings.

The Network Infrastructure Specialist’s role is to ensure the installation and maintenance of the University’s data and network infrastructure and network room layout. Responsible for the planning of installation, configuration and maintaining the data and network infrastructure and network rooms layout. The role also involves providing technical knowledge, support, and implementation standards of data and network infrastructure and network room layout to all project teams, consultants, and contractors.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES:


The successful candidates’ responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Network infrastructure administration and maintenance:
	+ Manage the quotations, planning and coordination of installation;
	+ Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in terms of standards;

Experience and qualifications


* IT Diploma, CompTIA A\+ / N\+, or equivalent certification (required)
* One to two years’ experience in IT support or a structured service desk environment (preferred)
* Solid working knowledge of Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365
* Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is advantageous
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Clear, professional communication skills, particularly when assisting non\-technical users
