This is a hands\-on, dual\-function technical role suited to someone with strong diesel/mechanical and electrical experience, who can confidently diagnose faults, carry out repairs and keep our equipment operating reliably.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Service, maintain and repair generators, compressors, pumps and support vehicles.
* Perform fault\-finding, diagnostics and breakdown recovery, including rotational standby and after\-hours support.
* Carry out major mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, cylinder head work, fuel and cooling systems.
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and 12V/24V auto\-electrical systems.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

* Millwright Trade Qualification – Essential.

* Proven experience working on heavy\-duty diesel engines.

**Wellington Area – Western Cape:** Our client is looking for a Millwright to join the team.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

* National Senior Certificate.
* N2 Mechanical and Electrical National Certificate.
* A recognised Millwright Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) as obtained in South Africa.
* 0\-2 years post\-trade experience.
* Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
* Must be willing to perform standby duties as required.
* Must be willing to work overtime.
* Forklift license is advantageous.

**SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:**

* Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and conscious of safety risks.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues.
* Able to work well under pressure.
* Mechanical aptitude in working with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools. Exceptional time management and communication skills.
* Able to read and follow documents such as specifications, machine manuals, blueprints, and electrical drawings.
* Effective organisation and prioritising of tasks.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Comfortable with routine work but flexible enough to adjust to ad hoc situations.
* Must be able to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas.
* Strong electrical aptitude, including the ability to use various electrical testing equipment. Willing to take ownership of tasks and lead assisting team members.

**RESPOSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:**

* Assembling, installing, moving, and electrically wiring all factory equipment.
* Testing all installed equipment to ensure they are working correctly.
* Operating machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move heavy loads.
* Complying with health and safety regulations.
* Minimising equipment and production downtime.
* Attending to both mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
* Running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts to identify and repair problematic machine parts.
* Dismantling and replacing older machines.
* Running preventative maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn\-out pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts.
* Repairing equipment to a high standard.
* Performing routine tests and inspections on electrical and mechanical equipment according to safety regulations.
* Installation, maintenance, repair, design, and wiring of electrical systems.
* Accurately and timeously completing Job Cards when tasks are completed.
* Ad Hoc or other related duties as assigned.

 RCL FOODS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Semi\-skilled Artisans to join our Milling Division to assist artisans with daily maintenance and constructive work.
   

  

**Minimum Requirements**
* N4 mechanical/ electrical (minimum)
* N5 and above would be an advantage.
* Trade tested Electrician OR Trade tested Millwright OR Trade tested Fitter OR Trade tested fitter and turner OR Trade tested boiler maker (Advantageous)
* Matric passed (Grade 12\) or equivalent.
* Knowledge of hand tools and basic hand skills.
* Must be physically strong and healthy.
* Flour Milling/ Milling work experience of 5 years and above will be an advantage.
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English, compulsory.
* Computer Literacy.
* Must be willing to learn and grow professionally.


**Duties \& Responsibilities**
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
* Perform standby duties, work shifts, attend to breakdowns, do fault finding and carry out emergency repairs.
* Complete job cards and update vehicle records.
* Order spare parts (consumables), interpret spares and workshop manuals.
* Housekeeping, Participate in Total Productive Maintenance, as well as Health and Safety responsibilities.
* Ensure your workplace is clean, neat always.
* Conduct adhoc operationally relevant duties

Semi-skilled Artisan

We are looking for a hands\-on, hardworking and solutions\-driven
 **Fitter and Turner** 
 with strong mechanical maintenance, fault\-finding, repair and installation capabilities. Experienced in maintaining and optimising production equipment to minimise downtime and ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation.
