* Ensure stockroom is maintained and organized according to standards, stock positioned in order to expedite replenishment timeously
* Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts and stock takes accordingly, verify and submit accurate count reports.
* Manage inventory control, place orders accordingly and send them out in time back to the warehouse, report on inventory to relevant parties accordingly

**Operations Management**

* Manage time and attendance, follow and implement opening and closing procedures accordingly
* Reconcile cash\-up reports and conduct investigations timeously to alleviate company losses
* Proactively manage controllable store expenses, stationery, refreshments, phone usage and cleaning products
* Actively implement, practice and supervise risk control measures to help alleviate losses to the company
* Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy, escalate and inform OPS where necessary
* Review and submit month\-end reports (clock in, RED, Staff purchase), Update and utilise managers dashboard, provide signed trained registers for all staff

### **Job Advert Summary**


A General Assistant in the Coating Department will provide hands\-on support to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all coating\-related activities. This role involves assisting machine operators, preparing materials, maintaining cleanliness and order in the production area, and following all safety and quality procedures.

### **Minimum Requirements**

* Minimum NQF Level 4 \- 5 Grade 12\+ / Higher certificate essential.
* Knowledge on material grades and steel products will be advantageous.
* Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
* Experience in a manufacturing or production environment will be advantageous.
* Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
* Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

### **Duties and Responsibilities**


The following key areas are covered by this position:


* To load or and offload products on the lines ensuring the achievement of the  

production throughout.
* Visual identification of non\-conforming products.
* Monitor and check production processes to ensure they are within acceptable standards.
* Monitor and check quality and ensure non\-conformances are reported timeously.
* Monitor and move raw materials, profiles and finished product.
* Stacks products in accordance with layout plan.
* Moves full / empty containers to required locations as per instruction.
* Records production, downtime and wastage.
* Ensures conformance to housekeeping, health and safety standards.
* Required to work shifts and overtime.
* Assist with general warehouse or and production duties.
* Safe storage of materials.
* Routine safety inspections and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
* Report maintenance requirements in designated area.
* Assisting other departments when needed.
* Maintaining of safety and housekeeping as specified.
* Pulling or picking of material.
* Strapping material.
* Sweeping and housekeeping.
