**OUTBOUND LOGISTICS MANAGER**
 We have an exciting career opportunity for an analytical, deadline\-driven and compliance\-focused individual as an Outbound Logistics Manager for our packhouse in the Grabouw area. Reporting to the GM, you will play a vital role in leading the Logistics department, overseeing planning and dispatch, budget control, process and systems optimisation, data integrity, and team management.
   

  

**Responsibilities**
* Plan and coordinate weekly pallet logistics, ensuring loading capacity, dispatch schedules, and cold chain management align with Marketing's demands
* Manage the departmental budget, forecasting, monitoring expense accounts, and reporting on deviations to senior management
* Drive continuous improvement of pallet stock processes, storage, and handling systems to boost operational efficiency
* Oversee and optimise use of the Vitrax system, proposing enhancements to improve accuracy and process flow
* Analyse materials handling equipment (forklifts, RF scanners, warehouse racking) to identify inefficiencies and lead cost\-saving initiatives
* Ensure data integrity and quality within the Vitrax database to support reliable, informed business decisions
* Maintain compliance with Health \& Safety (OHS Act) and food safety standards (BRC \& HACCP) across the site
* Lead, develop, and motivate the logistics team, managing performance, training, and succession planning


**Requirements**
* Tertiary Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred (Diploma or Degree)
* At least 5 years’ experience in similar role (preferably in similar industry)
* Strong understanding of stock management and warehousing systems and processes
* Good understanding of Fruit handling protocols
* Thorough understanding of OHS Act
* Intermediate Excel skills

**Job Purpose:**


To teach/lecture allocated modules. To engage and prepare students for assessments by tracking module pacers, identifying and supporting at risk students, managing general student administrative support, and developing assessments by engaging with the Central Academic Team. Assisting the Programme Coordinator in tracking and analysing of academic results to evaluate the performance of the module and to identify “at risk modules”.

**Duties \& Responsibilities:**

* Deliver lectures and engage students based on module\-specific requirements in line with module pacers.
* Manage resources including academic materials and liaising with the Information Centre.
* Update Learning Management System and provide feedback to students.
* Engage and prepare students for assessments, identify at risk students, and develop assessments in accordance with Central Academic Team briefings.
* Monitor student engagement as well as assessment submission with relevant escalation.
* Attend and participate in academic meetings across all faculties.
* Support Part\-time Lecturers with faculty requirements.
* Reflect on, review, and analyse student module result.
* Offer academic support to the Programme Coordinator with results analysis and tracking of own modules to assess performance of modules and to identify at risk modules.
* Develop and design Teaching\-Learning materials in support of module\-specific outcomes.

**Minimum requirements:**

* Bachelor Honours in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  
* Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education would be advantageous
* Master's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain would be an added advantage
* 3 to 5 years experience in the teaching and learning field, specifically lecturing and student support in the tertiary environment.
* 1 to 3 years of industry\-specific experience

* Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.
